Findlo Privacy Policy
Findlo (“we”, “the App”) helps you stay connected with people you choose: share location in a private circle and discover nearby places. This Policy explains what we collect and how we use it. By using Findlo, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
- Account / profile: name, email address, and profile photo, if you provide them.
- Location: precise location to show you on the map, share with approved circle members, and power nearby places and directions. Location may be collected in the background if you grant Always / Background permission. You can change this in iOS Settings.
- Friends & invite codes: your 6-character invite code, codes you enter, and circle relationships.
- Usage & device: app events, approximate diagnostics, device type, OS version, and language.
- Feedback & support: messages and email you send us.
- Notifications: a device token if you enable alerts (for example movement or place updates).
We do not sell your personal information.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide Map, Around Me, Friends, and location history.
- Share your live or recent location only with people in your circle after an invite-code match.
- Show nearby places and navigation.
- Send notices, support replies, and (if enabled) location-related notifications.
- Improve stability and help prevent fraud or misuse.
3. Information Sharing
We share data only:
- With your circle, as you configure (profile, location, history).
- With service providers (hosting, maps, analytics, crash logs, email) under contract.
- When required by law, or to protect safety and the service.
We do not list your location publicly. Do not use Findlo to track, harass, or locate someone who has not agreed to share with you.
4. Location and Sensitive Use
Location sharing is a core feature of Findlo. You must only add people who consent, manage your circle, and remove friends you no longer want to share with. Do not use Findlo to track someone without a lawful basis and their knowledge.
5. Children
Findlo is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). Do not create an account for a child under that age. If you use Findlo for family safety, you are responsible for obtaining any required consent.
6. Retention and Deletion
We keep data as needed to operate the App and meet legal obligations. Use Delete Account in Me to request erasure of your profile and circle links. Some records may remain where the law requires.
7. Your Choices
Location, Notifications, and Photos can be controlled in iOS Settings. You may decline optional permissions; some features will not work without them. Email us to request access, correction, or export of your data where applicable.
8. Security and International Transfer
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. Servers may be located outside your country. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
9. Changes
We may update this Policy in the App. Continued use after the “Last updated” date means you accept the revised Policy.
